I have served LAUSD for over 23 years. As an educator. The last 2+ years, as Categorical Program Advisor/College Career Readiness Coach, and EL Designee.

As an educator, I encourage all students to be creative, collaborative, critical thinkers, and effective communicators. As a Leader in Me school, we are developing these skills through learning the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Teens and Kids ~ developing individual leadership skills and effective communication skills through academic conversations, rigorous standards-based learning activities in all content areas. I aspire to encourage the growth of resilient life-long learners, equipped with the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to be successful in high school, college and beyond.

Serving here at Glen Alta for the past 9 years, I have gained a clear sense of the close-knit family dynamic that Glen Alta enjoys. Our school is a safe, friendly environment that fosters the learning and growth of “the whole child” teaching them not only to be life-long learners but productive citizens of our global community.

Glen Alta is a great place for kids kinder through 8th to learn, grow, become part of a community and build lasting relationships, and gain the skills they will need to be successful in the world they will inherit.
